    Policy Insider: Legislative Update

    • The Administration recently proposed to rescind $15.4 billion that Congress has already approved. The committee for Education Funding (CEF) on behalf of 110 national education organizations and institutions including CEC, urged Congress to reject the Administration’s recession proposal. The recession package will cut $7 billion that would otherwise be available for education programs and other services funded through the Labor-HHS-Education appropriations bill for fiscal year 2019. The Administration has announced its intentions to introduce another recession package for funds just appropriated by Congress for fiscal year 2018.
