Norman Geller



Dr. Norman Geller, Membership Chairperson, is an assistant professor in the School of Education at Virginia Commonwealth University; an adjunct faculty member at the TC Williams Law School, University of Richmond; and an educational consultant at the Virginia Treatment Center for Children (VTCC). Dr. Geller was an original member of the Board of Directors for the National Certification of Educational Diagnosticians, serving as vice chair, and was one of the first to obtain the NCED certification. He has been serving on the Autism Assessment Team since its inception and is an independent ADOS trainer. He has been conducting psychoeducational evaluations with children to aid in disability and intervention determinations for more than 30 years. Dr. Geller’s areas of focus have been learning disabilities, autism, mood disorders, and attention-deficit/ hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). In addition to the Autism Assessment Team, he has worked collaboratively with Dr. Bela Sood as part of the VTCC Mood Disorder/ADHD Assessment Clinic. Dr. Geller is a board member of the Autism Society of Central Virginia.  Dr. Geller operates Autism And Educational Diagnostics, LLC in Richmond, Virginia.

Dr. Geller holds a Ph.D. from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Masters degree from Vanderbilt University.
