Sessions & Schedule
Plan your convention schedule before arriving in Philadelphia by creating your personalized daily schedule. You can build (and rebuild) your schedule as many times as you want.
Start your CEC 2014 professional development experience with one of our full- or half-day preconvention workshops. Learn practical, evidence-based information important to you and your students, presented by topic area experts. Attend any preconvention workshop and earn CEC Professional Development Hours (PDHs)! (6 PDHs for a full-day workshop and 3 PDHs for a half-day workshop.)
Strands are your opportunity to explore important educational topics in depth through a series of three to four conceptually and developmentally linked sessions. Exchange ideas with colleagues and with strand leaders and presenters--all experts in their field.
Program Chair Featured Sessions
Associate Program Chairs Joe Dimino and David Scanlon, the Program Advisory Committee and Program Chair Russell Gersten have brought together cutting edge topics and leading speakers in a variety of formats.
Share your ideas and dialogue about important topics in these town-hall-like sessions.
Opening General Session & Reception
Join us for the kickoff of CEC 2014, featuring the CEC Professional Awards, Keynote Speaker Andrew Solomon, CEC President Robin D. Brewer and more! The President's Welcome Reception will immediately follow in the Expo Hall with refreshments and hundreds of exhibit booths to check out.
