Become a leader in your state organization!   The Nominations and Elections Committee of the Kentucky Council for Exceptional Children extends an invitation to CEC members in good standing to submit a nomination ballot for any person interested in becoming the Vice President.  This office carries a four-year commitment.  The Vice President succeeds to President-Elect, President, and Past President.   All officers must be members in good standing of The Council for Exceptional Children at the time of their nomination and election and remain so throughout the duration of their term of office.

Annual Conference

The annual Exceptional Children’s Conference will be November 18-20, 2018 at the Galt House Hotel in Louisville! We want to hear from YOU! If you have great information, strategies, or proven practices you want to share with your colleagues, then click here.  You will find a template of necessary information to submit a proposal.  Keep coming back for more information on registration and strands for the Conference! Nominations have closed for the 2018 Kentucky Yes I Can Awards.  The winners will be announced and celebrated at the 2018 Exceptional Children's Conference in November 2018 and here on our website.  For more information, contact Merissa Waddey at merissa.waddey@indwes.edu.

AwardsThe Awards Committee of the Kentucky Council for Exceptional Children extends an invitation to members of Kentucky CEC, KYCEC Subdivisions and our colleagues to submit nominations for awards listed below. Each nominee should be recognized as an individual who has provided meritorious service to individuals with exceptionalities in the state of Kentucky. Current members of the Executive or General Boards of KYCEC are ineligible for awards. Nominations are due and will not be accepted after May 1, 2018. Award recipients will be announced May 15, 2018; and honored at the Kentucky Exceptional Children's Conference in Louisville, KY, on November 19, 2018.
