The Manitoba Council for Exceptional Children offers four Scholarships ($750.00 each) annually:
- Two scholarships are available to support grade 12 or returning university students from Manitoba who are pursuing a career directly related to working with persons with exceptionalities. The individuals must be entering or in a current full time education program in a Canadian institution. The scholarship money will be given directly to the recipient upon verification of enrollment.
- Two scholarships are available to students with exceptional needs who are transitioning from high school to post-school life, such as post-secondary education, job training or employment. The winning students must demonstrate a ‘Yes I Can’ attitude. The scholarship money is given directly to the student upon verification of enrolment (if pursuing post-secondary education) or other appropriate evidence of their post-school plan.
The 2017 Scholarships were awarded at the MCEC Conference in February 2017.

The Metro Winnipeg Council for Exceptional Children offers two scholarships worth $500.00 each to support students with exceptional needs from Manitoba. The individuals must be entering or in the first year of a current full time education or training program in a Post Secondary Canadian institution (Community College, University, Campus Life, etc.). The scholarship money will be given directly to the recipient upon verification of enrollment.
The application deadline is Friday, March 17, 2017.
