Student Scholarships

Congratulations Amber Henry

At the NC CEC conference in January 2017, Ms. Amber Henry was awarded with the Outstanding Undergraduate Scholarship award. Ms. Henry is an Inclusion major at Western Carolina University and serves as her Student Council for Exceptional Children (SCEC) chapter’s secretary. She has consistently demonstrated a commitment to students with disabilities through her work with the University Participant program at WCU, the ARC, as a peer tutor in high school, and through the program Disability Partners. Ms. Henry has also worked at the Wilderness Trace Child Development Center where she is described as an engaging and knowledgeable individual with a warm approach to working with parents and children. We are very pleased to award this year’s Outstanding Undergraduate Scholarship to Ms. Amber Henry.
